5. Lawson’s Bay Beach – The Sunset Spot
Lawson’s Bay Beach, near the city center, is known for its beautiful sunsets. Though smaller than other beaches, it offers a picturesque setting between two rocky headlands. Best Time to Visit Visakhapatnam Beaches
The ideal time to visit Vizag beaches is from October to March. During this period, the weather is cool and pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 18°C to 28°C. The monsoon season (June to September) can bring rough seas and heavy rains, so swimming is not advisable. Summer months (April-May) are hot with temperatures exceeding 40°C.
How to Reach Visakhapatnam Beaches
Visakhapatnam is well-connected by air (Visakhapatnam International Airport), rail (Visakhapatnam Railway Station), and road (NH-16 and NH-516). From the city, beaches are easily accessible by auto-rickshaws, cabs, and local buses. Beach Road itself is easily walkable from the central areas of the city.
